There is one main difference between the upstairs and downstairs; the bedroom motion detectors will never turn on bedroom lights.  We do this becase the motion detectors are very sensitive and detect movement in the middle of the night.  Instead, we expect the occupants of the rooms to turn on the lights themselves, then Mary will turn them off after the activity in that room has stopped (20 minutes)
