We use a wireless solution to transmit the theater audio from the main stereo to the rest of the house.  This gives us the ability to listen to the same thing throughout the entire house or listen to different sources in each room.  Currently the theater transmitter obtains its source from the tape out jacks on the Yamaha receiver.

Future plans include using Mary to switch the audio source on the Yamaha to an alternate input so she can announce visitors at the front door which frequently gets missed when the whole family is downstairs in the theater watching a movie.  Other thoughts in this area are to have certain codes trigger announcements regarding weather reports, ski reports, stock reports, and anything else that seems to make sense that can be obtained from the web.
