Mary has several different ways to choose a CD that for now won't be covered here. In the end it is important to note she only will know the slot the CD can be found in the CD changer but not the Title or Artist. The database is contained in an Excel spreadsheet which is converted to at tab delimited text file. This file is transferred to Cliff every time Mary needs CD information. The transfer is to ensure the data is up to date. Then the script ECS.CDTITLE.MGR is run on cliff. The script places the appropriate information in a couple files that Mary knows where to find on Cliff. Mary then copies the files back for processing and the process is complete. |
